To adjust Safari's security preferences to allow Flash Content in Adobe Connect, please follow the steps below:
Safari Allow Flash Drive
When you use the Adobe Connect Add-in on Mac OS X 10.9, 10.8, or 10.7 with Safari 6.1 or 7, you may see the following message: 'You don't have the Adobe Connect domain name in the Safari Flash Player security settings.'
The new Adobe Connect 9.0.2 add-in should resolve this issue. You can install the new add-in in the following circumstances.
Then, select the option to 'Allow Plug-ins'(4) and click the 'Plug-in Settings' button(5). A window with a list of installed Safari-supported plug-ins should appear over the preferences panel. In the list of plug-ins, locate Adobe Flash Player and make sure the checkbox is selected(6) to enable the plugin for. In the list of Add-ons, look for Shockwave Flash (another name for Flash Player) and check the status that appears in the dropdown menu on the far right side of the screen. Click the dropdown menu and select Always Activate. Enabling Flash in Apple Safari. Navigate to your site admin if you're not already there; Open Preferences from the Safari. Apple Safari version 14, released for macOS in September 2020, will no longer load Adobe Flash Player or play Flash content. Please visit Apple’s Safari support for more information. For Mac OS X 10.11, macOS 10.12, and later. Scroll down the list on the left until you find Adobe Flash; select, then to the right, decide whether you want behaviour on, off or ask by default & for any specific sites. Full instructions at Adobe: Enable for Safari. Note that Flash is very nearly end-of-life & most browsers are going to start actively blocking it over the next year.
- You try to start or join 9.0.2 meeting for first time and have older version of the Add-in installed.
- You start screen sharing, application sharing, or share PowerPoint (PPTX format) files, and don’t have the latest version of the Add-in installed.
For Mac OS:
- To download the Mac Add-in: http://helpx.adobe.com/adobe-connect/kb/connect-902-add-in.html
- Save the file when prompted; by default, it's saved in the Downloads folder.
- Open the Downloads folder and open ac_addin_mac_250.z to extract the package (the package name isadobeconnectaddin-installer.pkg).
- Open adobeconnectaddin-installer.pkg to launch the installer.
- Follow the installer prompts to install the Add-In.
I understand that you want to be able to use Adobe Flash Player on all websites without being asked. I'm happy to provide some help with this.
Check out the steps below to change your settings so that this plugin is on when visiting other websites:
How to use Internet plug-ins in Safari for Mac - Apple Support
Allow or block websites from using plug-ins
Choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
To turn off all plug-ins for all websites, deselect Allow Plug-ins.
To view your installed plug-ins or turn off a specific plug-in for all websites, click the Plug-in Settings button, then deselect the checkbox for that plug-in:
Flash Player For Safari
You can also configure a plug-in for specific websites, whether or not the website currently requires the plug-in:
Safari Allow Flash Extension
Here you see websites that are currently open or previously configured to use the plug-in. Use the pop-up menus to configure the blocking policy for each website:
- Ask: Safari asks you before letting the website use the plug-in.
- Off: Safari tries to load the content without using the plug-in. If the site requires the plug-in, Safari blocks the plug-in and might show a placeholder instead of the plug-in content.
- On: Safari lets the website use the plug-in, unless Apple is using File Quarantine to block the plug-in for security reasons (example).
